Connecting Cable Modem via USB makes monitor image to bounce

hello

i have this problem since i first connected the cable modem via usb. whenever i connect the modem via usb my monitor image starts bouncing. of course, i installed driver first. i suppose that motherboard is "partly" broken because each and every usb i connect to my computer stops working after about 15 min (they don't get broken, i just have to reconnect them - but this can get really frustrating with mouse and keyboard).

any suggestions how to fix this, or i have to buy new motherboard?

can't you use a network cable to connect the modem to your PC?

actually no, because on cable modem i have only one ethernet port and it's used by the other computer.

A modem is designed to work either USB or Ethernet but not both at the same time. you should use a router and connect the two PC to the router
