You can go with any H77 motherboard or just go ahead and pick of a Z77 and have the possibility of overclocking in the future when the build starts to outdate.

I recommend these z77 boards

or

and these h77s

or

But if you have no interest in overclocking then go with a h77. Just seems worth it to me to pick up a z77 board and have the option to overclock in the future to get that extra boost.

I understand but I really want to order from microcenter for the deal. The motherboards are here: http://microcenter.com/search/search_results.aspx?N=4294966996+4294939941&NTX=&NTT=&NTK=all&sortby=pricelow. The only H77 is more expensive than most Z77's

I said in my previous post that it would make more sense to buy a z77 over a h77. Was just giving examples of other boards. iv never bought from microcenter but if the h77s are more than z77s then they have some issues pricing their units.

Would do you perfectly fine and won't break the bank.
That price isn't bad but iv seen that board cheaper elsewhere, along with most of those mobos. Where do you live anyways?

go for the deal. there is no law that states you have to overclock a K processor; even @ stock speeds that i5 will perform extremely well for any gaming. just bare in mind that the B75 mobo have only 1 sataIII port but only an SSD takes advantage of faster than sataII speed.

take the $50 in savings (aside from not needing anything better than the stock heatsink ATM) towards a better graphics card or use it as a start up for saving towards a better mobo than you can get now and be able to overclock that i5 higher and more stable or with better features.

Hi, for that Microcenter deal you need to get a z77 board or atleast thats what they told me when i bought mine. Oh also, the combo must be bought in-store, no online orders. I got the Asus p8-z77-v pro, but most people here would say go with the following:

AS Rock Extreme 4: http://www.microcenter.com/product/387554/Z77_Extreme4_LGA_1155_Z77_ATX_Intel_Motherboard

and Tom's gives this one a top nod as an alternate:

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H: http://www.microcenter.com/product/386363/GA-Z77X-D3H_LGA_1155_Z77_ATX_Intel_Motherboard
