I own an intel p4 cpu@2.4 Ghz on an asus p4p800-e motherboard with a stock cooler. The cpu temp sudenly grew at 95.5 C. Should I replace the cooler or clean it and reaply the termal paste?

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

Yeah, you should clean the rig and apply new TIM.

As long as the fan is still working (it spins) then the Cooler is in "working-order".

As saint19 said above, remove, clean and re-apply thermal paste.
