The Z600 supports "magic word" - the listening mode is always on, and
when the correct command is recognized the phone goes into voice
control mode. Obviously the pre-requisite is that you have a mike on
the headset connected. This works just fine with a standard $10
plug-and-wire headset.
Problem: I can not seem to keep the HBH-35 connected to the phone
permanently. It is listed in my devices and all that, but I still
need to press the button on the headset in order to initiate the
connection to the phone. This is in effect limiting the functionality
of the Z600.
I am looking for information on how I can set it up so that the
connection is established automatically when (and maintained while) my
HBH-35 is on and in range.
Can anyone help?

Hi,
Magic Word is NOT supported over Bluetooth.
If you should allow this the battery of the headset will be flat in no time
as the audio link has to be kept open all the time.
The HBH-35 is not disconnecting all the time, but it is closing the active
link to save battery.
As soon as you get a call on the phone or press the button on the HBH-35 the
active connection is re-established automatically.
This is exactly what it should do.
Don't let yourself fool by the display of the Z600 (or T610 or T630), it
tells you some unnecessary information.
Regardless what the display tells you, you have a Bluetooth connection
between headset and phone:
- in power save mode when you do not have a call
- in active mode when you have a call
Best regards,
Bernd
