Hello
I want to purchase EVGA GTX550ti graphic card. I want to know that Is my power supply capable to run this card or not?
I dont have enough budget to buy a new power supply.
Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 500W
(RS-500-PCAR-A3 / RS-500-PCAP-A3)

My system configuration, in case to calculate the total load.
Core i5 2400
Asus P8H67-V
Corsair 4GB XMS3
V6GT cpu cooler
one chasis fan in gigabyte isolo 200
1 DVD rom and 1 DVD writer

That is the total load of system, power supply has one pci power connector and 18amp capable.

that PSU is bad but not that bad:
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Cooler-Master-eX...

it might just be fine with that setup. Since the max a 550Ti uses would be 116 W and your PSU can provide about 216W (173W because no PSU is100% efficient) - about 80W from your CPU, gives 90W or so.

as long as everything isn't on 100% load you should be fine.

In EVGA website, they are asking for 24amp from pci power connector and this supply is only capable to give 18amp.
Will supply able to run this fine?

Ok guys so i understand the supply is more important. Please suggest me a good supply that can atleast run 560ti on full load. supply should be good but not expensive. i mean to say just good enough to run 560ti in any condition.

In my country, these brands are available
ANTEC
