Odd behavior from my HD6950

Hey guys I noticed some odd behavior from my gpu recently that hasn't really bothered me up until now. When I open a game in full screen or close it out my monitor disconnects and reconnects again to my gpu. I was wondering is this normal behavior for the 69XX series of cards? could it be because I removed CCC? The display drivers and everything are installed, but I had to remove CCC for my OC to work properly in afterburner.

I don't recall having such an issue with mine, even when I didn't use CCC in favor of MSI Afterburner.
