XFX 6870 or Shapphire 6870

DDR5 is Double Data Rate. The G simply means it's graphics memory.Graphics Double Data Rate.5 means what version it is.Usually the higher the number the faster the memory is.

I personally own that 6870 and while it is a good card the cooler on it sucks.I would go for the Sapphire 6870 because of the cooling. The only reason I see for choosing the XFX 6870 would be for Shogun.

so ddr5 and gddr 5 is the same?

I wouldn't buy the XFX. I just bought and registered it because I wanted Dirt 3 and they just extended their promotion for the game yesterday (until the end of August). I was very disappointed to find out that they were out of codes, even though they just extended the promotion for another month. I'm quite pissed.
