Ill try to make this brief yet informative as to what happened.
Was playing battlefield 3, game crashed to blue screen, on restart all I could get was a black screen with my cursor after the loading windows logo, restarted in safe mode and same problem. I tried to revert to a previous date by booting off the cd and doing system restore and it didnt work. I tried using a different video card incase was a driver issue and same problem. I tried to format the hard drive and reinstall windows and I get a error "windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt. c/windows/system32/config/system" when the pc formats, loads install files and reboots. Ive tried formatting and reinstalling with both a windows 7 disc and a windows xp and each time it wont start installing windows.
Do I have a bad hard drive? This is really pissing me off.
