Hello, I have a PC which obtains its IP via a neighbours wireless router. My PC also has a RJ45 ethernet port. What I am wondering is could I connect another device via the RG45 and give it internet access??

yeah you can set up internet sharing.
Just go to network adapter in windows and properties on wireless and sharing, and enable it and point it to your wired connection

I tried this to share my WiFi connection to my lan adapter so that my Virtual Machine would work but it says:

An error occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled.
Internet Connection Sharing cannot be enabled.
A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address
that is required for automatic IP addressing

How do I fix this?

VM adapters often work by bridging a virtual adapter to a physical adapter, and you can't bridge an adapter that has ICS enabled.

What are you using, VMWare, XP Mode, or something else?

Sorry about the time to reply. I didn't realise that there was a reply. I am using VMWare player 4.0.2.
