Hey,

I just upgraded my video card to GeForce GTX 570, and my friend asked if he could buy my old GTS 250. But what price? I am searched a bit around, and is 50$ to much, or a good price? It's in very good condition, and I have had no problems with the card.

Thanks for replies in advance :)

Unless you absolutely, positively need the cash, be a friend and give it to your friend (that way he owes you one! :D  )

I agree with Wolfshadow, if you ask money for this card from a friend your not a good friend. ( the gts250 sucks a little bit, so )

i disagree, the gts250 is still a decent card. its your friend, and you dont need the card, so maybe do it for $30 if you really want something for it.

You might be right, it's doing about 60 or 70 euro second hand ( i think 50 pounds ? ) Giving a friend 50 pounds just for nothing, well . . . depends on the friendship then. On the other hand when you ask money and the cards breaks down after two weeks and you can't pay the money back it can be bad for your friendship. I believe there is a Dutch expression about selling to a friend but i can't remember, anyway the bottom line was ; don't !

is the card still in warranty ? if so probably 30- 40 quid would be an ok price for
"Mates rates" personally in these circumstances i say , pay me in beer , on saturday and force them to fund my alchyhol problem ;-)

$50 sounds about right. A card of that caliber new is still around $100.
Are you certain your friend's computer has a power supply capable of handling the card?

How close a friend? A really good friend, 20 bucks. A not so close friend, 50. A sucky friend, 75.

Don't accept payments.
