Why do all the games i play in my new build crash?

(im 16 years old not an expert on computers and stuff)
the specs are

i7 2600k (3.4GHZ)
8 GB RAM
500 GB Hard Drive (7200Rpm)
(Sapphire) Radeon HD 6850 1GB
Motherboard GIGABYTE P67X-UD3-B3
Power Supply 500W

this is my first build and it was mainly to play battlefield 3, but the game crashes within the first two minutes.
I am thinking it might be the power supply because the one i have was a used one.

my GPU drivers are all updated

just need to know whether my power supply is the problems before i buy a new one

It could be a power issue. Let me ask this; are you using a legit version of windows, or one that has been hacked in any way? That could also be at the root of your problem.

Test the memory first if you haven't done so already. Use prime95 or Orthos. If it manages 15 mins or so your memory is probably ok and so is your CPU.

What make and model psu?
Some 500W units simply do not output 500W.

the windows is not legit.

ill try to test the memory, never used those softwares though

and there is no name on the PSU (it was a used PSU i got for cheap)
It just says ATX on the side of it

Buy a legit copy of Windows!
