Slow Hard Drive

I,ve just upgraded my motherboad and CPU to A7V and AMD 1 GZ. I did a performance test on it today and only got a 125.5 rating. Problem was in two places, one the vedio card which I have to replace let and knew it would be slow. The second was the Hard Drive, it was very slow and I through it would be fine. It is a SCSI HD (Seagate 10,000rpm 9.1G) with a 2940UW card. Can anyone give me some insight in to why this set up is so slow.

Yeah, you've got a UW card, but is it an UW drive? Plus are you using the latest drivers for the SCSI card? This is very important.
