Hello,

i have a HP dv3-2310ea laptop with ATI Mobility Radeon 4550, i am trying to connect the screen to a sony bravia 32 HD KLV-32S200A via HDMI cable, the screen gets detected, and i can the resolution to 1920 x 1080 but the refresh rate cannot go beyond 30 HZ and the image is crispy and ugly .. when connecting using VGA cable the resolution is low but the image is clear with 60 HZ refresh rate, i have tried everything i found in the forum but nothing seems to work ...

greatly appreciate any help

Cheers

Native resolution for that HDTV is 1366x768. You're not going to get 1920x1080 @ 60Hz. The HDTV simply cannot do that. There should be an option in Catalyst Control Center for 720p @ 59/60hz. Try that resolution.

Thanks alot .. this is the same resolution i get via the VGA .. so i guess i wont have better than that .. though it was strange to me it can scale to 1920 x 1080 in the control panel.
thanks a lot
