I'm planning to buy and build a budget gaming pc.

Please give me your opinion about this, thanks.

PROCESSOR: AMD II x4 955 BE 3.2ghz ($100)
MOBO: ASUS M4A88T DDR3 ($80)
RAM: 2 kits Kingston 2gb PC3-10600 DDR3 1333 ($21)
GPU: ATI HD6670 DDR5 1G ($90)
HARDRIVE: Seagate 500GB ($28)
OPTICAL DRIVE: SAMSUNG DVDRW 22x SATA ($12)
PSU: Antec 430D ($60)

I need to know the PRO's & CON's of this rig.

Thanks in advanced!

ALL PRICES ARE STILL REBATABLE.

I would recommend either WD or seagate hard drive. Everything else looks decent, what are you using for PSU? I'm not a big fan of ASUS on their low end boards, but I am also biased if you have checked the comments on newegg and they look good, go for it. If its W7 your going to want more RAM, Aero eats a ton. 4 GB is good.

Cheers......

I'll take note of it, thanks.

I still haven't decide on what PSU to use.

Is 450w or 550w decent enough to run all this w/o choking?

Its a good rig.... but I would go with a better mobo to allow for future proofing, and probably a 1gb graphic card for games coming out such as bf3. What is your budget? A 600w power supply would be sufficient, unless your planning on getting a second graphic card sometime in the near future. And I would stay away from any cooler master power supplies... I'm having a bad experience with one right now... Are you building this yourself? First time?

For medium range system go with the Antec 430D: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371034

If you going to up the GPU, go with the 550 Model you want to make sure whatever you get in the PSU market is at least 80% efficiency and has active PFC. I am huge fan of Antec, Corsair, and Silverstone as I have yet to get a DOA from any of them. I agree with the comment above. I would up the GPU.

Yes, I'm gonna build this myself. Yup, my first time.

Is it really recommended to use 1G GPU for an 18" LCD monitor?

I'll try to avoid that brand of PSU, thanks!

The size and resoluton of your screen does not need a 1gb gpu.... unless one wants to run eyefinity, even here its debatable. The reason I'm suggesting a 1gb card is so that your games will run much smoother as the gpu will store more useful information and will be able to dish out that information a lot more effectively, but this also depends on the speed of the gpu. Also I've noticed that games are starting to recommend 1gb gpu's, such as the witcher 2.
