Which graphics card should I get?

So I've decided to get a new laptop since my current one is dead(brother said the motherboard burned out or something).. I am into gaming so I wanted to be able to play upcoming games in at least medium quality, possibly in 1920x1080 resolution(I would settle for anything though tbh).

Unfortunately I'm not very tech-savvy so I don't know what most of the specs of graphics cards mean, from places like notebookcheck, etc. I was looking at a few random laptops online and found graphics cards like the Nvidia Geforce 540m, 550m, 555m and 560m. The 560m just seems too expensive for me; the laptops with this card are usually a couple hundred dollars more than ones with the 540.

Would the 540m be enough to run games in medium-high detail at the above resolution? Mainly things like Tera(maybe), DotA 2, etc. I mainly play MMO's and online games, and nothing like Metro 2033 (2 since I believe a sequel's coming out), or Crysis 2. Also, is it better to have a better graphics card over more RAM? such as the 555m + 4gb RAM over the 540m + 8gb RAM?

I was also looking at laptops at ibuypower, so if anyone wants to recommend anything or give me any advice, that'd be awesome! Here are the 2 laptops I was really looking at:
Battalion 101 CZ-12
Battalion 101 W150HRQ

4GB ram is fine. I believe 540 will be enough for MMOs and online games. The 555M has 144 shaders at 590MHz while the 540M has 96 shaders at 672MHz. Notebookcheck placed the 555M in the lower class 1 and the 540M as higher class 2. It's pretty much up to you. The 540M should be fine imo.

It's 15-20% slower than the 555M if you want to be able to play comfortably as new games release. Invest a little more into the graphics and stick with the 555M.
