First of all I am new to building computers and this will be my first attempt at building my personal gaming computer so i appreciate any criticism and suggestions anyone has and if someone could answer my questions
Corsair CMPSU-800G Gaming Series GS800 800W - Power Supply $139.99 Will this be enough to power this rig?
Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 Vengeance 16GB PC12800 1600MHzDDR3-RAM $119.97 is it worth it to get 8GB Dominator instead?
Cooler Master RC-692-KKN2 CM690 II Advanced ATX - Mid-Tower Case $95.99 thinking about changing this to a full tower
EVGA 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580 1536MB GDDR5 SuperClocked Video Card $479.97 Should I spend the extra $120 to get the 3GB DDR5?
ASUS P8P67 LE B3 Intel P67 - Motherboard $139.97 unsure of this motherboard many mixed reviews, suggestions?
A few changes to make on that build. First that Asus board is meant for a single card build. It runs dual cards @ x4, and you want a board that runs dual cards @ x8 like this one down below. That Corsair psu up there is manufactured by CWT for Corsair and it's junk. Save some money on the h/d with this Samsung down below, and you don't want 16GB of RAM for a gaming build. 8GB is over kill enough let alone 16GB. Also those 3GB 580's are for a triple monitor set up. If your using a single monitor set up, those 3GB cards actually get worse FPS in games due to latency.
If i get the Samsung spinpoint what is the differece between 3.0Gb/s vs 6.0Gb/s ??
3.0Gb/s hasn't come close to being maxed out yet let alone 6.0. The Samsung is as fast if not faster than the WD and it saves you money. Also tigerdirect prices usually suck compared to newegg and amazon. Get what you can from newegg and if you can save on shipping and price...amazon.
