First of all I am new to building computers and this will be my first attempt at building my personal gaming computer so i appreciate any criticism and suggestions anyone has and if someone could answer my questions


Corsair CMPSU-800G Gaming Series GS800 800W - Power Supply $139.99 Will this be enough to power this rig?

A few changes to make on that build. First that Asus board is meant for a single card build. It runs dual cards @ x4, and you want a board that runs dual cards @ x8 like this one down below. That Corsair psu up there is manufactured by CWT for Corsair and it's junk. Save some money on the h/d with this Samsung down below, and you don't want 16GB of RAM for a gaming build. 8GB is over kill enough let alone 16GB. Also those 3GB 580's are for a triple monitor set up. If your using a single monitor set up, those 3GB cards actually get worse FPS in games due to latency.

3.0Gb/s hasn't come close to being maxed out yet let alone 6.0. The Samsung is as fast if not faster than the WD and it saves you money. Also tigerdirect prices usually suck compared to newegg and amazon. Get what you can from newegg and if you can save on shipping and price...amazon.
