my hp pavilion says that there is a computer fan error press f2 or it will shut down in 5 seconds but the fan is working

Does your HP have only one fan? Let me answer: (er, no.) - so are ALL your fans working, including CPU & Graphics Card (if any)? Open it up, blow out the dust and take a good look at everything. Computers are never wrong! ;-)

it only has one fan that i see lol unless theres one under the processor heat sink and i blew out all the dust and checked everything it boots up to windows when i press f2
