My company has the AutoExecNT service set to Automatic, and the autoexecnt.bat has a script to delete the c:\temp\ directory. Is there a key that you can hold during startup that will disable the service, or defeat the script? If so, what is it?

Never used autoexecNT in my life... interesting.

just set the permissions on the temp directory so that only the you, the user, have permissions...not "system"

This may be a totally bogus answer...but it's better than the other replies you've recieved :)

I was confusing the service with some things that the registry runs. I asked the question to someone here in the office, and he said that if you hold down one of the shift keys (can't remember which one specifically, so he holds both of them) it will stop the other things from running. He says that there isn't a key that will stop the services from running. The workaround I used is to comment out the lines in the autoexecnt.bat that I didn't want executed... Thanks for the reply though.
