I have some crappy Lenovo motherboard I cant remember the name of, I've been trying to get a GTX 670 to run on it but it wont do it, but I know the GPU works. The issue was that the screen just goes black 5 seconds into the login screen.

Anyway Scan.co.uk (where the 670 was bought from) suggested I update the BIOS, as have a couple of other people. But, going through the Lenovo forum, a tech says there are no BIOS updates for the mobo I have, as of October 10th.

Is it known that an outdated BIOS (mine is dated August, I wouldn't have thought that to be old enough to cause a problem) can cause issues with GPU's?

If I buy another motherboard, will that solve my issue?

Thanks.
