Best AMD Motherboard for overclocking and gaming?

My new MSI-760GM-E51(FX) isn't stable for overclocking. Even with the OC Switch. I found out MSI motherboards are problematic the hard way. The highest I can get my processor without crashing is around 3.8GHz. I have a Coolermaster Hyper 212+ CPU Cooler. My temps are around 29 degrees Celsius. Which motherboard would be the best for overclocking my AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE?

Budget is not a problem.

Would this one be good?

That link doesn't work. How far does "budget is not a problem" stretch? If you really want good performance and are willing to spend a bunch of money, just get an Intel CPU.

Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense to spend $150 trying to squeeze a couple hundred extra Mhz out of a somewhat dated processor.

However, if you are going to go ahead, get a higher end 990FX based board like the ASRock 990 Extreme 3

$140-$160 -- There is all kinds of good stuff. Even MSI


You've simply got a crap-tastic $70 motherboard with bad PWN and a 5 year-old chipset.
