Laptop charging problem

Hello,
sir i have inspiron i5 dual core lappi n its not charging some tym but starts charging some tym so help me plz n me also want to format my lappi

Check the AC Adapter and the way it is plugged into the laptop. There could be a problem with the AC Adapter.

It will help if you can check the AC Adapter output voltage using a voltmeter. It should read 19.5 Volts.
