Intel-radeon doesn't perform?

Hey guys!
So I'm wanting to upgrade my graphics card, as I've recently upgraded my CPU and RAM. Here are my current specs:
CPU: I5 200k
Mobo: ECS P67H2-A3
RAM: 2x2Gb Corsair 1600Mhz
GPU: nVidia geForce 9800Gtx+ 512mb
PSU: Huntkey 600W
I'm looking to buy a sub R3000.00 card in the next few months. Here's the catch though: I've only really been looking at the new radeon cards, as they have plenty to offer in my range. I read in a mag though that there's a significant decrease in performance when you use radeon cards with an intel setup. How significant is this performance dip, if there is any? Thanks in advance!

There is no performance dip! Intel and radeon cards work just as well as Intel and nvidia cards.
Apparently the mag you read is wrong! All the major hardware sites that test cards today are using Intel setups since they are superior on the high end to test cards from both parties!

+1 as i said before the thread got moved. It makes no difference, intel or amd, the card will perform the same. The mag is wrong or you mis read it.
