I'm about to build a new rig for gaming and I'm buying everything except the GPU (for now). The reason for this is because my old PC sold a lot faster than I thought it would so now I'm without a PC. I was wondering how the integrated graphics are on the i5 2500k. I know they probably don't compare to any current gen GPUs but do you think I would be able to get decent FPS in Skyrim on low settings? I'm just wondering if I can expect to get started while I wait to build up some funds for a 6970.

The Intel® Core™ i5-2500K and the Intel HD 3000 Graphics on it does meet the requirement for the minimal standards for Skyrim. I have heard 30FPS on WOW and Starcraft 2 under normal setting but I wouldnt want to count on the IGP (Integrated Graphics on Processor) if I was going to do any heavy gaming. Here is some additional information on the performance of those graphics. http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/quick-reference-guide-to-intel-processor-graphics/
