Hey, I have my new PC : i5 2500 - ASUS P8H67-M EVO (REV 3.0) - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600 CL9D - XFX P1-650X-CAH9 650W xxx edition

In the bios the CPU Temp is 66°C at Idle, testing with some software:

Is that normal?

Idle Tempt. of Processor is directly related and dependent on your system tempt,so be sure to measure and optimize your System and surround Tempt.

Stress test with prime95, it should only go to ~70-75, if it goes above it's not on correctly. Again the cpu does not idle in bios, it is in full load state until it gets into windows where it can get into low power idle state. Temps ~60-65 with stock hsf in bios is normal.

My i5 2500 is also running at about 70C when playing SWTOR and streaming using xsplit... is this something to worry about and would buying more case fans help at all?

Currently I only have 1 front fan and 1 back fan in my case.

Alright thanks a bunch... anyone recommend any heatsink/fan combos for my i5-2500 non k?

I disagree with that.

The stock HSF can dissapate all of the heat generated, and it will do this better (indeed can only do this, as with any HSF), when there is airflow for it to transfer heat to. So ensuring good airflow in the case is vital, and if not overclocking there is no need to change the stock HSF. If however you case airlfow is poor, then a better HSF will help to overcome this, but will often be more expensive than sorting the airflow out.
