I m planning to upgrade my HD 4350 with a Sapphire ATI HD 6790 . But i ve got few doubts regarding this...
Here are my system specs :

Core 2 Quad 8200 2.33 Ghz
4 gb ddr2 800 Mhz
Intel DG 35 EC motherboard
windows 7 - 32 bit
Seagate 160 Gb HDD
samsung Sync master 933sn (max res . 1360 * 768 )

Is the Ati 6790 compatible with my motherboard ? Will i be needing an upgraded smps ? Is there any additional devices that i should buy when installing this video card ?

More about : compatibility 6790 intel dg35ec

I see the DG35EC is pci-e 2.0 so yes there should be no problem with the motherboard and the card now what kind of power supply do you have and do you have any plans on upgrading to a newer one. A 500 watt psu should be all the power you need since your motherboard has only one pci-e 2.0 X16 slot. This looks like a good deal:

like tinmann said, you're fine as long as you have a PCIe 2.0 x16, you should care only about PSU if you have a garbage PSU take it off and buy the one he recommended for you

HD 6790 is good enough to handle any Dx11 game on high settings, stick with it, any other GPU would take you to a new price level such as GTX 560-ti or HD 6950
