Any dual core CPU's or ones with HYPERTHREADING because most games need at least 2 cores :p

Edit: saw hyperthreading but didn't see any dual core still ??? Also will the e6600 3.0GHz work???
  3. Core 2 Duo would make a visible impact. Well, u wan't to have some performance that u can see, don't u?

    NO
Pentium D only ( unless you really want a P4 ), no Core2Duo will work on your board.

I am not suggesting to buy one, just saying that, to see any difference in performance C2D would do it for sure. Yes, it would not fit!

OK, your first post didn't make much sense for me, so to be clear.

What mobo do u have available ? Also, do u have e6600?

Its not dual core, its Core 2 Duo E6600. Dual core is something else yet.

    Use this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116404
