I hae not been able to find a motherboard that is ready to go with Win 8 and the secure boot feature. Most boards seem only to have a tpm connector and not an installed tpm chip. Would welcome any advice, thank you.

Win 8 pushes secure boot and bitlocker in all the blurb and yet we cannot find a motherboard ready to use these features - amazing!

I may be wrong but check out the MSI Z77A-GD65. I was doing a comparison of a few different MSI mobo's (with the GD65 as the top end) and the others all show "Y" for TPM while the GD65 shows "1". I am assuming that this means it actually has a TPM chip.

Win 8 Secure Boot UEFI requirement is not a good option for anyone who likes to upgrade their systems easily. You quite literally have to jump through hoops to disable it and enable legacy boot to use most components currently on the market.
