At first I was looking at the cpu itself when I glanced up and saw the price .This almost made me jump out of my chair lol; but as I looked around the internet about this system, many places said it would cost $550 and up. So my question to you is if you think this is a typo, or a rather good deal.
It's hard to say. I would say it is legit though as all th components listed are cheap parts:
(note this CPU in this computer isn't even released yet...)
•AMD Quad-Core FX-4100 Accelerated Processor with ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics
For fast, efficient computing.
This is not released yet, but according to AMD this is one of the lower end/mid range processors..
•6GB DDR3 memory
RAM is dirt cheap right now
•Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support
•4MB L2 cache memory
For efficient system processing.
•1TB Serial ATA hard drive
Offers plenty of storage capacity.
•ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics
For lush images with vivid detail. HDMI output for connection to an HDTV.
•Multi-in-1 media reader
•Also supports Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo and Memory S
•2 USB 3.0 and 12 USB 2.0 ports
•Built-in high-speed wireless LAN (802.11b/g/n)
•Built-in 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN
•Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit operating system preinstalled
I can believe it. It's pretty much a basic desktop. Not to mention a big company like acer is able to purchase thousands/tens of thousands of these at a time - so their own cost would be lowered.
Thanks guys, I just thought it was weird because the processor isn't released yet. When I compare this to other $300 desktops, they usually have atom, e-350, athlon II, pentium, etc. ( although i have seen one with i3 2100 ). Do you think this would be good value compared to other desktops in this price range? Oh and I also said it's bulldozer because the fx line that is coming out soon is using those cores(right?). http://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-bulldozer-cpu-fx-s...
