Greetings Mentlemen,

I am currently in the process of building a new PC since my old one gave the ghost. Seeing as the HDD and other misc. components were still good, I bought these replacements:

Asus P8P67 Pro 3.0
Intel i5 2500
Be Quiet Straight Power E5 600W

As of now, I am looking for a new graphic card to replace my nVidia Geforce 8600GS. I will be playing games on a 1920x1080/1200 resolution. I renew my videocard/system every 3 - 4 years and as of now do not have the need to run a SLI / CF (maybe in the future). Will most likely be playing:

Team Fortress 2
Left 4 Dead 1&2
Deus Ex Human Revolution (when it comes out)
Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad (when it comes out)
Battlefield 3 (when it comes out)

I have already looked at local webshops and retailers coming up with the following list of what it available.

Point of View GTX 480 - € 210,-
PNY GTX 570 - € 260,-
Geforce GTS560 Ti - starts at € 180,-
Radeon HD 6950 1GB - starts at € 180,-
Radeon HD 6950 2GB - starts at € 210,-
Radeon HD 6970 2GB - starts at € 270,-
Radeon HD 5870 - Few available and those that are go for € 250,- and up.

My problems are:
Is my PSU adequate enough to support these cards?
Which card gives the most bang for buck with regard to this selection when looking at scalability?
Does the GTX 480 still produce a lot of noise when under decent load or has that been reduced due to bios updates?

I had some more questions, but I still want to do some more research before asking them.

PSU should be allright i think. I would go for the 6950 2G, but that's because i'm fed up with nvidea.

Get the 6950 2GB and if you can find one that can still be unlocked even better, save yourself 60 euro and essentially have a 6970.

Your PSU is fine for one of those cards, but if you plan on adding another in crossfire in the future you should be looking at at least 750W.
