Side Intake or Bottom Intake. Which would you say?

Hello,
I had a search but could not find a thread that actually answered this question. I recently recieved a Zalman Z9 plus case and installed my existing system, the only trouble is the pre-installed side fan hums due to the mesh on the panel. Would moving the fan to the location on the base give better airflow?

I think that side flow would be less restricted and therefore better for temps.

I'm guessing you have a top mounted PSU or a full tower with room next to a bottom mounted PSU for a fan. I'd go with side panel.

Do you have an airflow problem or do you just not like the humming ?
A few minutes of your time will give you an answer, move the fan, do the temps change ? for better or worse ? noise gone ?

Use both, the more air flow the better.

Keep the fan where it is.
Tightening or loosening screws will probably solve the humming.
Mesh or fan screws or both.
You could also push on the fan hub.
Probably something is loose from transport.
Worse case scenario is adding some rubber washers.

I was thinking about getting some washers, would a re-stricter be worth getting? Ill will take it apart when i get 20 mins. Ive ordered a fan to place on the bottom its just if you guys thought it wouldnt make much of a difference i would move the side fan to the second exhaust space on the top.
