How do you know whether a company is good or bad

Is there some kind of review place, I am seeing this PC100 SDRAM for 20 dollars, but I am hesitant to buy it, cause I am new to online shopping for computer parts, any ideas are appreciated.

I never buy anything without looking at the vendor's rating over at www.resellerratings.com. If the experiences are generally good, I'll bite. (Remember, people with poor experiences are more likely to complain than people with good experiences are to say something good.) But if there are only a couple of responses, I won't buy from them.

Also, $20 for 128 megs of RAM is awfully low. RAM isn't a place to cut corners, you'll pay for it in system stability. Trust me, I learned the hard way. There are people who'll tell you they have no problems, and they may not. I got away with it for a long time too. But it's a definite risk. My systems with brand-name memory, power supplies and motherboards in them almost never crash, and the memory's a big reason why.

It's probably going to be El Cheapo RAM and of very poor quality, or on the other hand, you might get lucky ;)
