So I was playing Metro 2033 with my GTX 470 last night (OC'd to 775 core/1800 mem) and I Alt+Tab'd out and saw my GPU had hit 93C while playing (usual is more 88C or so). I decided that I needed to look up some stuff on GTX 470 & 480 temps since I know that's pretty hot. Apparently, the default fan profile for reference GTX 470/480's allows them to hit 95C or so on stock speeds while benchmarking so my peak temps are not that outrageous.
What I want to know is--does anyone have any good sources about the temperature limits for this card? I know there's the 105C thing, but people generally don't let cards get this hot, so I thought maybe it's known that the 400 series are designed to withstand higher temps. Any insight (even without sources) would be appreciated. Thanks.
