Budget gaming

Big nub here wanting to ask you veterans for some opinions

Been wanting to get a new gaming Pc for a while now but i dont really have all that money
to get like a uber, hardcore machine. so im settling on a budget one for now.

Here's what i've been looking at so far:

COOLER MASTER ELITE 371 W/O PSU
Deepcool Ice Edge Mini FS
EVGA PCIe GTS450 512MB 783MHz, 1566MHz

Aywun 550W MEGA POWER ECO Series A1-550E Power Supply
PowerCase 580W 120mm Silent Fan Power Supply (i'll get which ever PSU is cheaper in market)

Note that i'll be reusing my HDD, DVD drive and maybe the memory.

CPU and RAM look ok but instead of getting a cheap, high wattage PSU i would get a lower wattage quality one, a brand like Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, XFX are usually the most sought after. If youre in short supply then OCZ and Coolermaster are good too. As for the motherboard, i think you could get something cheaper and not even notice the difference to be honest since you can't overclock on the i3-2100 anyway.

The case is nice
i was thinking about trying sli...

maybe get s single card first like gtx 550 ti then add another one later do the road.

Theres not a lot of point in SLI at this budget. You would need a more expensive motherboard and PSU and you would get heat problems I suspect. That HD 6950 would probably be just as good as a couple of 550Ti's anyway.

i thought the antec case would be good enough to keep the air flowing
besides i think a MSI gtx 550ti would be cool enough, loud but i can handle that

and i though the mb would do fine
i reconsidered getting a Corsair CX-600v2 600W

i probably just get on card then do Sli later

I'd get a second opinion on this, seriously don't think GTX 550Ti SLI is worth it even from a performance angle. Low-Mid range cards aren't really good for SLI.

It is not recommended to go with SLI/crossfire with such a low level card due to microstuttering. Read This article if you would like to learn more. Some people do not notice ms and some do.

I agree with starting out with the 6950, and dropping down to a h61 board. After all the non K intel cpu's cant overclock.
