Upgrading my 8400SE to GTS 450 is that ok?

My pc

Processor: Dual core E5200 2.50ghz
Ram: ddr2 2gb
GPU: 8400SE ( i upgrade to GTS 450 soon )

And my generic psu

I play at 1280 by 1024

Games i liked to played if i got this GTs 450 are

Call of duty MW2
Need for speed MW
Prototype
Killing Floor
Need for speed shift
crysis 1


PS: Im on tight budget so i buy 1st the GTS 450 and after a month im gonna buy NEW PSU from Corsair.

Im am ok with GTS 450?

my PCIE 16x is 1.0 i know its backward compatible with GTS 450 2.0

You should be fine with that particular PSU and graphics card.

If there's nothing wrong with your PSU, you might even save your money and get a slightly more powerful card.

yes, the GTS450 is fully back ward compatible infact all PCI-E 2.0 cards are backward compatible, i would reccommend a 6770 for the same price (better performance) instead, and whatever is the cheapest branded (and has good reviews) PSU you can find (that will run your system). eg this 6770:

6770 is 2.1 i read some many forum they said there are problem with 2.1 card with 1.0 MOBO so i will use 2.0 card instead of 2.1

2.1 cards are fully backward compatible, the 6770 won't bottleneck your CPU much, a bottleneck is just when a card is too good for your CPU.
