I am going to upgrade my moms computer it has been sometime since I have done that. She has a Biostar motherboard P4M900-M7-SE. I want a new MB, CPU and processor the case is actually pretty good and has a decent power supply what I need is what is a good motherboard and processor I like to find them around 200 dollars or less if anyone have any suggestions on this please let me know. Also what are some good websites that sale these items other than Tiger Direct, Amazon or Pricewatch or are them the best out there right now. So let me know.

You will also have to upgrade the memory from DDR2, which you have now, to DDR3.

What are the rest of the specs of the pc because $200 isn't going to much better better if it's already a dual core. Or you could even find better computers(complete systems) on craigslist quite a bit better than what you could get new at that price.

But here's my suggestion:

You could get amd athlon x4 for about $190 but the new sb dual cores are more ipc(instructions per cycle ie more performance) and use less power. Unless she's using some multithreaded program which I doubt.

Hi There here are the specs for her computer so any more ideas will be great, she is on line like face book and such and pays a few bills online other than the internet she does genealogy so no big time applications really.

I don't really see a point to upgrade with those uses. But I still don't know what cpu you currently have, I can google the same specs sheet but as you posted it lists 6 different cpu series.
