Intel Core i7 Processor Nehalem i7-980 3.33GHz 12MB LGA1366 CPU, Retail

Samsung SH-B123L 16X SATA Blu-ray Combo Internal Drive(Black), Bulk w/Software

ATI FirePro V7900 2GB DDR5 4x DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit w/ SP1 (1-Pack, DVD), OEM

Antec TwoCool 140mm Blue LED Case Fan

Asus PCE-N15 300Mbps 802.11b/g/n Wireless PCI-Express Adapter

All sorts of wrong going on there.

Lets start with the CPU not working with the motherboard, then move onto the V7900 with a 1200W PSU, thats way more power than it needs, you could run 3 of them on a PSU that big.

Also, i dont know if regular i7s work with ECC memory, pretty sure only the Xeons do.

This looks like you were dreaming up a system and just picked some of the most expensive parts you found on newegg.

With that MoBo i would go with thei5 2500k or the i7 2600k 1155 socket if money isn't an issue, because they fit.

Drop PSU down to something in the 600-800 watt range http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010 and as far as ram I'd go 4 sticks and 16 GB is more than most any will ever use http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145347&cm_sp=Pers_StoreTopSellerMore-_-20-145-347_1_TS_-_-1_17___
