Hi, all, thanks for being there. I am 60 yrs old and am building my 4th and perhaps last system. I tend to use them well after they are out dated. I am currently using an Athlon 3500 + with 2 GB RAM. I may have chosen many things that are overkill, bt I want to future proof as much as possible but mostly , Somethings I just want, lol. Like wanted a Hemi, when there's not a lot of practical use for it.
I want your feed back and recommendations. Thanks in advance and if I don't use your suggestions it doesn't mean I don't value them .

Additional Comments: I have read that with AMD I can only use 1333 RAM, is that true. Also , I have never changed a Heatsink, do I need to get a cooler . The case with air only does a good job. I know I can get a cheaper case, But I love this one and unless there is a technical problem I want to use it, more money or not. lol
Please offer your opinions and help. Thanks so much.

Hmm looks good. Just a couple points.

Since you're not gaming, you don't need a 700w psu. You can get by with a good quality 400-500w psu. Something from antec (earthwatts, neo eco) or corsair (builder series) should be good.

For cases, nothing against that case, just thought i'd give a few other alternatives:
Corsair 400r and 500r
Lian li first knight
Fractal design arc midi

Then get a cpu cooler to OC. A hyper 212 evo for $35, or a scythe mugen3 (quieter) for $50.

Thanks, I'll look into it. The reason I went with the OCZ was it was modular. Thought I 'd go that way. What if I went with that brand but less watts. With overclocked CPU and 16 GB Ram you still think 400 watts is enough?
