Hi.

I'm trying to fix up a computer that I use to watch videos in the living room. I use it to connect to our TV in the living room.

Recently I had a problem with it and it turns out that I need to replace the motherboard/cpu and the power supply.

I've already bought a new power supply 450W.

I need help choosing a motherboard/cpu or a mobo/cpu/vga combo.

I need one that can stay on my budget, which is around $100 in US dollars, and that is just right for daily use.

It won't be used for gaming or other.

So I'd be glad if you can find me one in either Amazon, Newegg, or Tigerdirect.

Or anywhere else.

Would it be okay to just replace the mobo/cpu to my old computer? Would I have to know other specs or would it not matter ?

Thank you!

Depending on what is in you're old computer you may have to purchase new memory also.
And if the hard drive in the old computer is PATA you might need to either get a PATA to SATA converter or get a new hard drive.

For the new CPU and Mobo an AMD llano (A series) cpu and A55 or A75 mobo would work well for watching videos.

Depending on what the specs are in you're old computer, it may be as simple as just replacing the cpu and mobo, please list the full system specs
