Hey Everyone! I'm fairly new to tinkering with my pc and recently installed a new video card and hd and everything went flawlessly. I also purchased at the same time an extra 8g kit of memory to add to the 8g kit I already had installed. I know now that 16g is overkill for anything I need to do but I would rather it installed in my machine than sitting in my closet. Problem is that I cant get it to work! The mobo is a Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H that came installed with 8g(2x4) of Mushkin Enhanced Silverline RAM. I purchased the exact same kit and went to install it but now it gets trapped in a boot loop. The fan runs but I get no beep from the board then the fan quits for a second and the whole thing starts again. I've played around quite a bit with configurations and the pc loads with any single stick, any two sticks, and even any 3 sticks installed in any slots. Its just when the last stick is inserted that the failure to load appears. Max ram is 32g for the board. One possibility is that this ram is not listed on the compatibility list for this board, but that doesnt stop it from working if 12g or less are installed. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi, is XMP enabled in BIOS? What happens if you set the frequency to 1333 MHz?

Sorry for the delayed response. I am unable to toggle xmp in my gigabyte bios. It is defaulted to disabled and is dimmed out. The frequency for both channels is auto set for 1333 though...

It might be a compatibility issue. I would return them.
