ATA133 controller on modern PCI mobo

Hello, Just bought ASUS P8Z68-vLE mobo but don't have a sata drive (nor sata DVD/RW)--mobo has 3 "PCI" slots--will old PCI from early 1990s work on these PCI slots? (would like to use a ATA/133 controller card (PCI))...begs the question, will an IDE DVD/RW drive work on the card as well?

Yes it should all work

but it will be VERY slow to load anything

EDIT : the hardware will work , but are drivers compatible with your OS available? Im guessing they are not
