CPU using 100% on BF3

Hi
I mostly play BF3 and Batman AC. While playing BF3, in windows->task manager->performance my memory is used like 30% ( 6GB ), my CPU 100% and my vidcard 70%, using Sata Raid 0. I'm playing in medium settings.

Question: If I buy a better CPU, I will play BF3 with high graphics ?

We need more info. What is the CPU and what is the video card. You said you opened task manager, did you check the processes to see if there was any extra junk running in the background?

giving an idea what your running on in the first place would be good, then we can compare performance of your system to a decent 1.

very few programs on memory, the only problem is CPU overload while playing BF3.

It's a dual core processor what do you expect. Games usually use two or three cores so it seems normal to me that it's using all two cores when playing Battlefield 3.

CPU is clearly the bottleneck in that rig. Even a 9000 series C2Q would be a huge upgrade.

My 4ghz quad core i5 750 hits 80-90% usage when I'm online in 64 player games. So, yeah, CPU bottleneck for sure.

In single player, though, the game should run pretty well even on a dual core.

Well not necessarily, BF3 will use whatever you give it. I doubt they'll push the CPU side much more in whatever comes next unless it's not released for several years. They have a very well optimized engine IMO.

Bf3 multiplayer uses tons of cpu usage.

do you know any site that shows cpu usage in multiplayer for several cpus?

you just open taks manager and it will show you the usage. or use speedfan... i think you can make a log file with it...

Ok,

I will upgrade my CPU to INTEL XEON QUAD CORE PROCESSOR E5507 2.26GHZ ( my only option so far for several factors )
