How to make system recognise new PCI Video card

Hello, I have an Acer am1640 with integrated video card. The card stopped working a few days and i bought a replacement PCI video card. How do i make the system recognise the new card. THe old integrated card doesnt work so i cant boot into bios to change the settings there...please help.

If the card defaults to the IGP you would have to try and do it blind. Try and look at the menus in the user manual and figure out exactly what key sequence you need to get to the right menu to change it after booting into the bios. You can try as many times as it takes, just reset the bios after each try.

Couldn't find anything in my brief google search, try posting in the motherboard and memory section, you might get lucky and find someone with the same board.
