Att dsl modem configuration

Hello,
Just replaced my DSL modem. I can't get my linksys router to work now. Modem to PC direct is OK. When I try connection test on router, the router says: "can't get IP address from the PPPoE server". The old modem was a speedstream 4100. The new one is Motorola MSTATEA. Any ideas of what could be wrong?
