  1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148519 That is good RAM. Two kits of that and you would be set if you want 16gb. Though, 8gb is god enough for now.

forgive me but im addicted to value ram, on the upside you can get 16gb for the same ammt
  3. He has a $200 budget and the other RAM is faster both in timings and in basic speed. It also has a heat spreader which is nice.
  4. what gpu do you have? sell it and buy an upgrade with the savings. besides, as an addict, you must know that after 800mhz memory speed/timings has no affect on performance
  5. Either of these kits.

^ comes in 3 different colors, btw. =p
I suggest the 8gb set, we are only really starting to use more than 4gb now, so 8gb will be pretty future proof.
  6. why are you buying a 8150 fx? they are poor performers for games among other things. your better off with an i5 2500k.
  7. i bought it because i wasnt educated enough about the different core:proformance ratios on other cpu i just saw it had the most cores and set new record for speed so i assumed it was good, atm i have

ASUS Crosshair V Formula AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Republic of Gamers Series Motherboard

AMD FX-8150 FX 8-Core Black Edition Processor

    SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X 100269VXL Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

    then a basic 7200rpm 1 tb HDD

    630 watt supply
  8. exactly dude, buy the ram i suggested, sell the 4890 and buy a better gpu

Don't worry - it's definitely not bad either. It's just not the best choice if you use single-threaded applications. It's a very powerful CPU in multithreaded use - the best for its price, mostly. Then again, games aren't usually that well threaded. But you get the idea. It's a good CPU and will perform well at anything you throw at it.

That really depends on what you are doing. People don't buy fast RAM for nothing, and there would be no market for any faster RAM if there was no difference. In most things, RAM isn't that important, but don't invest in cheap RAM either. You might as well get decent speeds/timings along with quality and good customer support when you have such a big budget, rather than buying bottom of the line memory that will "get you by". :non:

Excuse me? I don't get that. I am not trying to be a jerk if you made a spelling error. I think maybe it is just a term I do not get. Can you explain?
