Hi, I'm purchasing a new build with ASRock Extreme3 Gen3, LGA1155.
With that I'm getting i5 2500k, same socket.

But [here] I have found a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus with LGA775.

So I'm wondering, will the cooler be compatible or will I need to find a Hyper 212 Plus with LGA1155?

Thanks.

No it works for both.

That's a positive then?
Sorry if I'm overly cautious. From what I read Intel LGA775 coolers are compatible with LGA1155 CPUs. Though it just seems strange LGA1155 isn't mentioned on that particular model.

Via the Newegg Product Description:

"Fan mounting using clips for easy installation and swapping.
Versatile all-in-one mounting solution for Intel Socket LGA775/1156/1366 and AMD Socket AM3 / AM2 / AM2+."

1156 and 1155 use the same mounting so it looks like you're good to go.
