Current system. i7 920,4gig ddr3 1333 ram,nvidia 250 gts.
Question is i cant decide between a gtx 560 or a 6870? im also planning on getting 4 more gigs of ram. reason for upgrading is battlefield 3 and skyrim

Go with 6870.
They're pretty much the same in terms of performance.But 6870 runs cooler and has less power consumption.

HD 6870 is faster than a GTX 560. Go for the HD 6870.
Also, what about your PSU ? I'm pretty sure it's capable, but just for confirmation.
