Approximate Purchase Date: Within a week.
Budget Range: ~$2000
System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, watching movies, surfing the net
Parts Not Required: mouse, sound card (creative x-fi hd usb), headphones (have good sennheiser headphones), monitor (isymphony 19" led lcd 1366 x 768)
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg
Country of Origin: U.S.
Parts Preferences:
Overclocking: No
SLI or Crossfire: N/A
Monitor Resolution: Up to 2560x1600. I plan to get around with this build and to be hooking up to lots of different monitors.

Additional Comments: I am in the military, move around a lot, and am usually allotted a pretty limited amount of space. I am looking to build something light and small and that packs a powerful punch. Basically I want a gaming PC that is console-sized or smaller that is easy to pack up and store/hide and that I can easily grab and hook up to different displays like your typical console. I also want it to be on the quieter side and future proof (this is why I chose the 3gb gtx 580 and a fanless cpu cooler-which silverstone actually recommends for the case).

Here is what I have so far:

SILVERSTONE Sugo Series SG07-B Black Aluminum / SECC Mini-ITX Desktop Computer Case 600W 80+ Bronze Certified / Single +12V - $209.99

ASRock Z68M-ITX/HT LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard - $119.99

Intel Core i5-2500K - $219.99

SILVERSTONE NT06-E CPU Cooler - $46.00

Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW160G3K5 2.5" 160GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - $299.99

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM - $69.99

Sony Optiarc Blu-ray Combo Drive SATA Model BC5640H-03 - OEM - $139.99

Zonet ZEW2590 USB 2.0 High Gain Wireless Adapter - $29.99

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium - $189.99

Rosewill RK-800G Black 104 Normal Keys PS/2 Wired Gaming Keyboard - $9.99

Any help or advice you can give for this new build is greatly appreciated. Does it all look good?

You should be getting a SataIII SSD.
- Intel 510 if you want to go intel.
- Crucial M4 possibly, very similar to the intel drive
- OCZ Vertex 3 or a bunch of the other Sandforce based drives.

Another possibility for case would be Silverstone Fortress FT03.
Check it out, it's a little bit funky but it allows use of MicroATX mobos.

I like that case . And I dont think its possible to build a smaller computer .
Your part mix looks good . If I was in a desert country I'd but it next to the air conditioning !
