GTX 580 and crysis warhead

Hey guys i built a new rig last week and i just wanted to ask if my GPU is working ike it should

So im running crysis warhead at 1920x1080 on enthusiast settings, with AA turned off
Im getting 48-58 fps, Is this a good range for a GTX 580 running at

Core clock- 825 mhz
Shader clock- 1650
memory clock at 2039 mhz
Fan speed at 50 %- auto

My other specs are
Z68X-UD5B3
8gb Gskill RAM 1600
2600k @ 4.5ghz
1000w corsiar psu

Im just not confident on my rigs performance yet

I have nothing base this on but it also seems to me that you should be getting 60+ fps.

the triple c pack for crysis improves visuals and performance at the same time.Just try it out.You will hit 70 fps while maintaining similar visual quality as max settings in addition to ultra sharp shadows .This mod helped me max out crysis while maintaining fps similar to high settings

The mod sounds great but thats not the point im making, it shouldn't need a mod to make it perform over 60 fps. Do you guys think my system is bottle necking?

Crysis Warhead is the third most demanding game ever made after metro and crysis 2.It needs SLI or crossfire to run at constant 60 fps.The only way you can make warhead run at 60 fps is by using mods.BTW,you have a MONSTROUS CPU so there is no way the 580 is being bottlenecked.the fps sounds right to me.
I hate to break this to you but your fps is going to go into the 40-50 fps range when you reach the ice levels.IMHO,crysis is a hugely playable game even at 25 fps,so 48-58 fps is overkill for playing in that game

Wow, bubble burst for me too. I'm building my first system to max out crysis et al at 60+ also. I have a 580 also and building a 2500k and thought the best tech would run these games. Well now we can say it is the poor optimizaiton. By the way anything over 30 on that game is not to bad so I probably would be happy with 50.

48-59 fps isnt bad. Anything over 30 really is good. I don't think you can tell the difference anyway
