  1. Hi lee, the link is not working.
  2. It is a socket 478
  3. Not much info on that board available. You might find a Socket 478 P4 on ebay or Craigslist if you just want to fool around with some obsolete technology.

Edit: Its a 478 you sure? This says its an early LGA 775. P945 chipset and still only works with an old P4 or Pentium D though. Pretty much useless.

  4. Not really sure; The board seems to have multiple versions and was made for Dell Computers, or at least some of them.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Optiplex-170L-Intel-Pentium-4-Socket-478-Motherboard-0C7018-E187242-/150721576729?pt=UK_Motherboards_CPUs&hash=item2317b4bf19
  5. I hate dealing with Dell OEM. Lee2010 does the board look like this?

    Or like this?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_775

If the pins are raised on the motherboard it is LGA775. If it has holes it is Socket 478. With Socket 478 you would use the Pentium 4 that says Socket 478. With LGA775 you can use Pentium 4 5xx and 6xx series and Pentuim D 8xx and 9xx series CPUs. All of the above are hopelessly outdated.
