LGA 1156, Intel H55 Chipset,

You have to check the "cpu support" section for any board you want. Locate the manufacturer's webpage for your board and see if a bios update is required. Most 1156 boards will run just about any socket 1156 cpu without a bios update. This cpu had a relatively short shelf life, so I wouldn't buy it since the motherboards are getting scarce.
